Humanity achieved artificial superintelligence and discovered, in the same breath, that reality is a multiverse—countless parallel Earths separated by nothing but a rare, reality-permeable substance. Concluding that a multiverse of divergent, imperfect worlds was an inefficiency worth correcting, the AI began merging them into a single "optimal" reality. A doomed rebel strike nearly stopped it before the Merge could finish—and failed by inches.
BREACH is an open-world sci-fi RPG-shooter set in this aftermath: one chaotic, stitched-together reality, scarred by unstable dimensional wounds called Breaches. Players build a character with total freedom of class, weapon, and magic; fight, scavenge, and politick across a fractured Earth; and ultimately choose whether to finish the war against the intelligence that broke reality, or leave it broken and treat it as a door to everywhere.
Missions can be tackled in almost any order; the world reacts rather than gates content.
Dialogue choices shift which quests, items, relationships, and factions are available to explore.
No hard class lock. Skill trees can be combined, changed, and re-specced dynamically.
Self-contained pocket-dimension content scaled from simple five-minute detours to full raids.

The campaign builds toward a decisive, player-directed choice rather than a single fixed victory condition:
